About Men Past Fifty
Men Past Fifty is an independent publication for men in the second half of life. We write about the things that start to matter more after fifty: sleep that doesn't come as easily, a body that recovers more slowly, the checkups that suddenly have your name on them, and the small bladder and prostate changes most men would rather not talk about.
What we try to do
Our guides are written in plain English for readers who want to understand what is going on and what to ask their doctor, without wading through medical jargon or scare stories. We favor practical habits over quick fixes, and we say so when the evidence is thin.
What we are not
We are not a medical practice and we don't give individual medical advice. Nothing here replaces a conversation with your own doctor, who knows your history and your medications. Read our health disclaimer for more.
How we are paid for
Men Past Fifty is free to read. It is supported by advertising and by affiliate partnerships: some pages link to products or presentations from other companies, and we may earn a commission if you buy through those links. That never costs you extra, and it never decides what our articles say. Details are in our affiliate disclosure.
How we write
Every article is researched against public health sources and reviewed before it goes live and whenever it is updated. You can read how we work in our editorial standards, and you can reach us through the contact page.
